CASE 03 / LOCAL VISIBILITY · BIKE SHOP
How a bike shop could reach more people nearby and turn a search into a visit.
Fictional case study · illustrative design concept
Good work. Too rarely found.
Location, Google profile & events
Directions requests, workshop contacts and group ride sign-ups.
01 / THE STARTING POINT
Regulars know the workshop. New neighbours find an outdated website and little information on Google. The advice and planned group rides go unnoticed.
What the business needs: Workshop services, opening hours and directions need to be easy to find. A maintained business profile and group rides give new visitors a way in.
02 / THE DECISION
Bright, lively imagery and subtle blue-green connect with cycling. The three views show an introduction, a location section with a map preview and an events list. Directions, opening hours and registration have clear places.
Local visibility doesn't end with rankings. People need to find the shop, understand it and have a good reason to visit.
03 / WHAT THE SOLUTION LOOKS LIKE
Design preview: the features shown here
are not connected to real services.
04 / MAKING THE DIFFERENCE VISIBLE
Review profile views and direction requests in Google Business Profile, ask new customers how they found the shop and count event registrations. A website alone doesn't guarantee better rankings.
WHAT AN EVALUATION COULD LOOK LIKE
| Measure | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Direction requests per month | not recorded | 25 |
| Website enquiries per month | 3 | 8 |
| Ride registrations | 0 | 12 |
Invented example figures. These figures illustrate a possible evaluation. They are not a promise. A real project would need measurements over comparable periods.
